Today was a big day for Caleb. He received a citation of commendation from the City of Winnipeg for calling 911 when Owen had his anaphylactic reaction back in January. The award was presented to him by Acting Deputy Mayor Gord Steeves. He also met the Lieutenant Govenor of Manitoba - John Harvard. Both him and Owen got some toys as well, which was a huge hit. Everyone was SO encouraging to him and praised him for doing such a good job. He even made the CBC news (according to him, he is now famous). They wanted to get Owen on TV too, but he was too shy. You can check out the print news story on
CBC or the TV story
here (starting at about the 10 minute mark right after the story of Hector Felix who performed CPR on a stranger and was also presented with an award).

Wow Kim, you must have been so proud. How wonderful that the city recognized Caleb's heroism and honoured him in this way. He's an amazing kid, with amazing parents! :)
